Clan Functions & Description: The Kousan clan was originally from the area that would become the village of Soragakure. Unfortunately the clan slowly started to wage war among themselves. The clan's never ending quest for understanding and knowledge led the Kousan to the brink of destruction. This is what forced these people to split apart into the two separate branches. The main family line remained in the land that would become Soragakure, only to die off due to war with other tribes, famine, or other travesties. Only the clan leader and his family remained. The leader is the one who holds the stories, legends, and lore of their clan. The other half of the Kousan reside in what later would become the Village in the Clouds. The Kousan joined this village after the birth of the great nations, therefor they never partook in the founding or them or any part in the initial development.
In life there is always the truth, and then their is the belief. The lore of the clan claims that they would obtain power from an Angelic deity in return for keeping it's presence a secret. They were given the power to see as the deity sees. With this trait also came the deity's gift of being able to move objects without touching them. The deity said "A portion of power to those who keep my secret". After many decades the deity returned from whence it came and increased the power of the clan for they were in a time of war with neighboring clans. The Kousan people were given something known as the 'Power of War", a second stage to the power they were previously given. Soon though, truces were made and there was a time of peace for one hundred years, until the clan's time of separation, which was shortly after the creation of the great nations.
Those who do not believe in the deity believe they obtained their power from natural selection, that war and violence blessed their bodies with the gifts to survive. In the modern day world, the clan in its almost entirety exist in Kumo. The descendants of the old clan leader in Sora do still exist there, though they no longer posses their Kekkei Genkai. Instead, this small batch act as the record keepers for the history of old. The current head of the Kousan is a shinobi, and most of the clan themselves become inventors, watchmakers, or scouts. They do not worship the deity of legend because that is another uncertainty. They hold their clans founding as lore but speak of it as truth. It is their way of honoring their clan.
Kekkai Genkai/Hidden Technique Description:
One of the most powerful aspects of this clan is that by Genin they have 2 elements unlocked, by Chuunin they usually have 3 elements mastered, 4 by Jounin, and all 5 by Legendary/Kage rank. This is likely and evolutionary trait obtained over time from the main ability of this clan.
Kousen also have its Kekkei Genkai Doujutsu, the Ikusagan. The Ikusagan becomes active usually during the academy years and is a natural part of puberty. The iris turns into a deep amethyst color during the first phase of activation, with an elongated pupil, and a ring surrounding it. The base power is "intuitive aptitude", the ability to innately understand and manipulate patterns within complex systems, which initially manifests as a talent for repairing anything. This also allows the user to identify deformities in people, such as blood clots to cellular decomposition, allowing a person to see the entire makeup of a person and every movement they can and will make. This power comes with a nearly insatiable hunger for "understanding" and will lead the weak willed to destroy, dismantle, and break down things to test there understanding. While not just on people, anything that "exists" can be analyzed by the Ikusagan. This means that animals, people, mineral, vegetable, and everything in between, is able to be seen, analyzed, broken down, and understood by the Kousen.
The second form is activated when a person sees something horrible or war oriented, such as a murder or being under seize. During the second form of the Ikusagan, the pupil will change shape, with a second pupil appearing across it. The surrounding ring is now gone, and distorted purple waves rush throughout the Iris. This second phase of the Doujutsu still allows the user to see all that they could with the first form. The difference is that during the second form the user is able to clearly see chakra and its patterns, as well as the targets aura as well. The aura is as clear as day and can be seen even in pure darkness. The auras colors are equal to the users elements.

When both forms have been obtained the user can choose which form they want to activate, meaning they can choose to use the first or second form.
The final ability of the Kousan is their Sensou no Chikara, or power of war. These are physical manifestation that activate when a clan member uses their Doujutsu. The first Sensou no Chikara is a form of levitation. Upon gazing at an item, one is able to see the inner workings of how the molecules form together, as well as see the energy itself effecting them. One is then able to manipulate their own chakra into the covalent bonds of the atoms, and manipulate the outer lining of particles. This is done within the briefest of moments, and allows the user to have a semblance of control, able to levitate an item, or move the parts on opposable objects.
The second form of Sensou no Chikara is literally known as 'The Power of War'. This is active during the second phase of the Ikusagan. The user feels no fatigue, pain, soreness, tiredness or any other negative effects. This allows the user to continuously fight at their maximum. The down side is that, since they don't feel pain or fatigue, they will not know if they are injured or low on chakra and can kill themselves in this mode.

Ability/Hidden Technique: Sensō no kakudai, the Expansion of War
The Senso no Kakudai is the highest form that the Ikusagan is able to evolve into. Currently, their are three known outcomes to these advanced forms, though tales from the past have said that more have existed. It is currently known that one must have activated both original stages of the Ikusagan in order to unlock the expansion. It is currently assumed that one can unlock the expansions through much training, forcing the eyes to evolve based upon physical manifestation of conceptualized sight. Simply put, the same principle of "Gotta go faster, therefore I do" only "I need to do this, therefore I see".
A step through time

Description: Those with the Expansion of war may have an interesting perception of space time. Using the Ikusagan in a way no normal Kousan can, the user can view the actual makeup of the space time barrier, allowing them to step through it, and appear wherever they wish to. They may even part it like a veil, distorting its existence.

Description: Those with the Expansion of war may have an interesting perception of willpower. Using the Ikusagan that has achieved this expansion, the user is able to view the very brain waves of a person, and through manipulation similar to how the clan levitates, force there own chakra into the brain waves and take over. This can lead to the complete take over of a person, either to control them like a puppet or to give them commands to follow through like auto pilot. Should the caster lose sight of their victim, or travel more then 1km away, the effect is broken.

Description: Those with the Expansion of war may have an interesting perception of the physical verses etheral planes. This Jutsu allows the user to effect the chakra that is radiated off of a person(s) as well as in them. This allows the user to actually attack a persons chakra pool directly, eliminating a shinobi's source of power and life.
