Ability/Hidden Technique: Baika no Jutsu - Multi-Size Technique
Clan Functions & Description: The Akimichi clan (秋道一族, Akimichi Ichizoku) is a clan that is able to convert calories into chakra, which they then use in their hidden technique, Multi-Size Technique and its various related body-enlargement jutsu. Most of these jutsu are known to rapidly consume the user's chakra upon activation, and maintaining them during a prolonged battle can be tiring indeed, which must be why the Akimichi is prone to overeating in order to constantly replenish their chakra reserves. As a tribute to this, both Choji and Choza wear the kanji for "food" on the front of their clothing. If standard calories aren't enough for a battle, Akimichi can use the clan's Three Colored Pills to convert excess fat into chakra, at the cost of one's health.
The Akimichi clan seems to have a special relationship with the Nara clan and Yamanaka clan. For at least two generations, members of these three families have formed an "Ino-Shika-Cho trio," named after the first part of the names of the members. The Akimichi members are the Cho in the trio. "Ino," "Shika" and "Cho" are the names of three cards needed for a highly prized trick of "Inoshikacho" in the Hanafuda.
Kekkai Genkai/Hidden Technique Description:
The Akimichi clan focuses on heavy hard hitting techniques that use larges amounts of chakra, and thus they tend to eat large amounts of food that can be used to convert into chakra. As well as this, the clan uses "multi-size" jutsu that increase the size of a number of the user's body parts, or even their body as a whole.

Special Item: Three Colored Pills (三色の丸薬, Sanshoku no Gan'yaku)
The Three Colored Pills are secret medicine used in the Akimichi clan. As the name suggests, there are three pills, each with a different color. First is the green Spinach Pill (ホウレン丸, Hōrengan), next is the yellow Curry Pill (カレー丸, Karēgan), and last is the red Chilli Pill (トンガラシ丸, Tongarashigan).
By forcibly converting the body's fat reserves into chakra, each successive pill ingested gives a tremendous power boost. The Chilli Pill is even said to increase one's power a hundred times. However, the pills have a drawback. Each pill damages the body, poisoning it and since the third pill converts all one's fat reserves, the user will become dangerously emaciated. It is said that after the third pill, death is imminent. However, the Nara clan has apparently done extensive research on the Akimichi and their pills, and that knowledge allowed the Fifth Hokage to neutralize the poison and repair the damage to Choji Akimichi, after he took all three pills to fight and kill Jirobo.

Description: Baika no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique used by the Akimichi clan. Using this technique the clan member can alter the size of their body. Highly skilled clan members can alter the size of their body to a large scale with little trouble. When the clan member changes the size of their body, it uses up body calories. Because of that the clan members will usually be seen eating high calorie diets.
2. Nikudan Sensha - Human Bullet Tank

Description: Nikudan Sensha is a Taijutsu technique used by the Akimichi clan. After using the Baika no Jutsu technique to modify their body into a large sphere shape, the clan member draws their limbs into the main spherical body. Next they launch their body into the air and begin to spin at a high rate of speed. Launching himself at the target, the fast spinning prevents most incoming projectile attacks from landing, instead they bounce off with little effect. Any direct attack the opponent uses with their body would result in the crushing of their attackers bones.
3. Nikudan Hari Sensha - Spiked Human Bullet Tank

Description: Nikudan Hari Sensha is a Taijutsu technique used by the Akimichi clan. A modification of the normal Nikudan Sensha, the clan member will use sharp edges to deal greater damage to their target. This has been seen in two ways. One way is to surround their body with a loose chain of kunai or edged weapons. When their body is enlarged, the chain becomes taught which allows them to increasing the rotation speed and destruction when they roll. The other style takes advantage of clan member's long hair. By using their chakra to harden their hair, they become a rotating ball of spikes, which will slice into anyone or anything which gets close.
4. Bubun Baika no Jutsu - Partial Multi-Size Technique

Description: Bubun Baika no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique used by the Akimichi clan. Using this technique the clan member can alter the size of their body. Highly skilled clan members can alter the size of their body to a large scale with little trouble. Those with lesser skills can use the Houren (Spinach) pills. Taking the second pill allows them to accomplish the partial multi-size skill if they could not normally attain it. With this skill the clan member will enlarge one of their limbs. This allows them to stretch and cause a more powerful impact against their targets.

Description: Choudan Bakugeki is a taijutsu technique which utilizes the red Akimichi hyourougan pill. This pill should only be used as a last resort by the ninja. Once ingested, the ninja will immediately burn off all the calories within their body turning it into chakra. For the Akimichi clan and their large girth, it can burn enough calories to give them 100 times their normal strength. When the clan member focuses all their chakra to one hand, it will carry an explosive amount of impact when it connects on their opponent.
