Strength and Weaknesses/Stats Empty Strength and Weaknesses/Stats

On Ninja Village Rebirth, we do not have a stat system, but there still needs to be structure and order. In this section we shall explain how strength and weaknesses work.

Now, with Strength and Weaknesses, you get to show us how and where you are limited, and where you accelerate. With each rank, you get one Strength. (So, taking the optional route such as Tokubetsu and Elite, get you extra strengths.) There will be methods to obtain more later. (1 at academy, 2 at Genin, 3 at Chunin, 4 at Tokubetsu, 5 at Jounin, 6 at Elite, 7 at Kage/Legendary)
Keep in mind, if you do not take ANY of the optional ranks (1 at Genin, 2 at Chunin, 3 at Jounin, 4 at Legendary/Kage). Big difference if you work hard.

Now, for Weaknesses, the stronger you are, the less you have. This means you LOSE a weakness with each rank up. You only have 2 weaknesses at Kage/Legendary, 3 at Jounin, 4 at Chunin, 5 at Genin, and 5 at Academy.

So, what is the point of this? Easy as well, we need you to shape your character to show us how well you do. If you have a character that does poorly in Genjutsu, you will not be getting A rank Genjutsu passed. A more technical example: A Jounin that is poor in Genjutsu and is on par with a Genin, this is a viable weakness.

Same thing with Strengths. Claiming a strength of Taijutsu means you will, or should, have stronger Tai jutsu moves. Example, a Chunin has the Strength of most Jounin and excels in hand to hand combat.

Since we lack stats this system will help shape and govern a character, as well as give the authors freedom for their characters to be what they want. Leveling your character allows you to overcome weaknesses, which is why you lose them as you rank up.

Strengths and weaknesses must balance themselves. If you are stronger physically, there must be a downfall somewhere. We like to be pretty relaxed with our system, this way everyone can enjoy themselves and make the character they desire!

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now we add numbers into play here. Every Shinobi rank is associated with a number.
    Academy student - 1
    Genin -2
    Chuunin/Tokubetsu - 3
    Jounin - 4
    Elite - 5
    Legendary/Kage - 6

What does this mean? This means that, with no strengths and weaknesses in play, everyone is equal upon being the same rank. So how does one gain advantage? By utilizing strengths and weaknesses.
