1. Banned and Conditional - When making your character or clan, please follow the banned and conditional guide.
2. Character Rank - When you’re making a character make sure to meet all the requirements for the rank you are making, which are highlighted within the character rank guide. New members’ starting ranks can be Genin or Academy Student. You can only make a rank from scratch if it says so on the rank progression guide.
3. Approvals - When you finish your character it’ll take one approval before they can be roleplayed with. Clans will only require one approval as well.
4. Unfinished Profiles - While it is highly encouraged that you do not post your character until it is finished, we all understand having to be pulled away in the middle of things. If this happens just make sure to post the character with a WIP in the title so we know.
5. Character & Clan Templates – When you’re making your character or clan, be sure to read through and follow the proper guide. We allow you to use spoiler tags, but please follow these templates as closely as possible. Any major changes will be required to be changed back before approval can take place
6. Number of Character & Clans - You are allowed to make as many characters and clans as you want, there is no limit. With that in mind, however, please use discretion. If you have 100 characters, you obviously won't be able to roleplay all of them. A good median is one character per village. Also, keep in mind when creating a character your first character cannot belong to a minor village.
7. Number of Accounts - You are only allowed to have one account. You are allowed to keep as many characters as you want on that account. If you already have more than one account with characters or clans on it, you can have them transferred over to the account you want to make your main.
8. Chat Box – Members must be respectful to each other and especially admins and moderators within the chat box. All the site rules will also apply within the chat box. Finally there will be absolutely no roleplaying tolerated in the chat box as well.
9. Post Requirements - There are no requirements about how many words or paragraphs you have to post while Roleplaying. More is not always better, but do be as detailed as you can when roleplaying to avoid vagueness.
10. Profile Edits - When you want something in your profile to be edited, ask a mod to unapprove it for you. When it is unapproved, make your edits and then post in your character topic and a mod will re-approve it. Profile editing allows the character to be subject to review again, but only one approval is needed for edits.
11. Unapproval - Only two mods need to have a problem with something in a character for it to be unapproved for edits. An admin can unapprove a character at any time for edits. This can be done no matter who approved the character the first time. Characters will only be unapproved if something major is found wrong with the character.
12. Moderators/Admins - As a member, if a mod tells you to do something, do it to the best of your ability. If the demand is too harsh you may take it up with an admin for a second opinion. Another mod may not do anything to interfere with another mod.
13. Backseat Modding - Members are not allowed to post on profiles to review them, even with permission. If you want a member to review your profile, have it be in PM. The exception to this is when someone makes a character in your clan, you are then allowed to post on it and give review.
14. God Modding - When roleplaying you are only allowed control over your own character. You cannot say another person's character did something, anything, even if it's right. You are not allowed to say another was hit by your attack or anything of the like as well. This rule is void if you have permission from the owner of the character and please state such. If we find out later you did not have permission, your punishment will be twice as bad.
15. Meta-Gaming - Just because you know something doesn't mean your character does. When roleplaying make sure your character's knowledge remains just what your character can possibly know.
16. Powerplaying - When roleplaying, you are not to make your character, Jutsu, weapons or etc any stronger than is reasonable or approved. If something is found to be overpowered, you will be asked to change it. If you disagree, you may ask another mod or admin for a second opinion.
17. Conspiracies - Any attempt to conspire against Ninja Village Rebirth will result in permanent banning. We take it seriously here. Obviously, any hacking will also get you permanently banned.
18. Flaming - No flaming. By this, we mean purposefully antagonizing other members in order to get a negative response. If this happens in the chat, you will be warned and then chat banned if you do not comply. On the forum, you will be warned and then you will receive a temporary ban if you do not comply (the first time only).
19. Pornographic Content - Refrain from posting any kind of content that can be labeled as pornographic.
20. Controversial Subjects - Homosexuality, Politics, Religion, Women's weight, and all other controversial subjects are to NOT be brought up in anyway shape or form both in RP and in chat.
21.* Killing (This is actually one of two places it is listed) - You may not kill anyone lower than a Chunin. (Exceptions can be made if the Genin/Student wants to die). If a topic is labeled as kill-able, anyone/any rank can die at any time. If a person does not want to be killed, they can refrain from their untimely demise ONLY if they are not in a kill-able thread. If they try to back out, they cannot.
*If two Chunin+ shinobi are fighting, and one is about to be killed, and they do not want to die, a mod can intervene. (Unless it is kill-able)
*When a rogue shinobi is involved, they can kill or be killed, even without listing the topic as kill-able. (Accept for Genin/Academy)
All rules are subject to change with little warning or notification. Any major rule changes will be noted in announcements.
